All This is for Your Own Good!

I read something in the Bible several days ago which I find somewhat funny because it reminds me of a popular quote by Singaporean parents that says "All this is for your own good!" The Bible verse states:

All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. (2 Corinthians 4:15 NIV)

Hmm, however we like to put it, many things in life are done for our own good and for our sakes, so we ought to be thankful always!
